TAI CHI SOCIETY

Tai Chi Sydney Instructor Course

Sydney Tai Chi and Qigong courses are run by Tai Chi Society for people who want to become instructors.

The Tai Chi and Qigong instructor workshops are especially suited for Tai Chi, fitness and yoga practitioners and teachers, advanced Tai Chi students, physicians, acupuncturists, nurses, physical therapists, psychotherapists, school teachers, counsellors, and those in social service agencies, faith communities and educational institutions.

The Tai Chi instructor workshop is a certified programme. Completion of a Tai Chi course with Tai Chi Society is a prerequisite for enrolment in the Tai Chi instructor programme. Note that you don’t have to be a member or student of Tai Chi Society to take the Tai Chi course -- you can do the course as a private student.

The Qigong instructor course runs over two consecutive weekends in Sydney.
The Tai Chi instructor course requires prior study with Tai Chi Society -- the Tai Chi study can be either in the general classes or private lessons -- and similarly runs over consecutive weekends in Sydney.

Both courses are easy, straight forward and effective – there is no “airy fairy” stuff.

What you should expect from the Qigong and Tai Chi instructor courses once completed successfully:

• You will be able to explain and demonstrate the movements, forms and postures of effective Qigong and Tai Chi practice.

• You will understand and be able to articulate the many benefits of Qigong and Tai Chi, such as improved health with particular efficacy for arthritis, high or low blood pressure, diabetes, asthma and stroke recovery.

• You will be shown in detail how to best teach Qigong and Tai Chi to a variety of students, including effective communication, time management, catering for the individual needs of students and levels of understanding, and the “dos” and “don’ts” of successful instruction.

• You will receive an instructor certificate from Tai Chi Society, enabling you to become a qualified Tai Chi and Qigong instructor.
